The Prince Consort and I attended a photography workshop with the spectacularly talented Scott Church. (Note: his site is NOT safe for work or children!!!!!) I went as a photographer, but part of the time, I modeled for the PC. He took the best picture of me I have ever taken. In order to prove that, I went back through my archive of images I have used for Publicity and the like… and I thought I would share. (more…)

When I was a kid, my step dad was a HUGE Ray Stevens fan. The Mississippi Squirrel Revival was a personal fave, and to be honest, I know the whole thing by heart. There was a discussion in my office the other day about it (wherein I started reciting it.  A colleague said, “Have you ever seen the video?” and sent me to you tube. I had not. I admit, I can be a little cynical about love. (Particularly about Love at first sight.) Probably comes from getting your heart broken a few too many times. In my youth I fell in “love” all the time. And I was the first person to blurt the big “L-word” out. I am NOT that girl now. (As I’m sure the Prince Consort would tell you–of course, he’s the same way. I fully expect us to get around to confessing our love on our 50th wedding anniversary) (more…)

The Prince Consort, the Princeling and I went to the Ashville Viking Festivalfor the day on Sunday, which was a first for me. The PC, on the other hand, is a long time reenactor of the War of the Roses (Medieval) and French & Indian War. (He’s kind of a history buff, which is just one of the many things I adore about him. :D)

The Prince Consort of the Universe is under the impression that he is not romantic. And I will be the first to admit he’s not an American Greetings sort of guy. He’s never brought me flowers or send me a card for Valentine’s day. What he is, however, is kind, considerate, and he pays attention to details. (more…)

I confess. I’m a bit of a neatnick.

I’m not OCD about it (usually), but I like to keep my apartment tidy. With an Akita and two medium hair cats and wood floors, I’ve given up on ever having floors you can eat off of. (It’s shedding season as I write this, and even though I swept YESTERDAY, I have dust-bunnies the size of WOLVERINES.) (more…)
